CURVELLE
the fractional ownership specialists have released details
of the first Curvelle 33 metre motor yacht, which will start
construction this year at the award winning Cheoy Lee Shipyard.
The Curvelle 33X9 has been designed by Incat Crowther Naval
Architects with input from a number of superyacht and motor
catamaran specialists. The resulting design has provided
outstanding accommodation which has delivered 50% more accommodation
than any equivalent length mono hull of similar performance.
The
two floating hulls of the Curvelle design offers her passengers
a considerably more stable platform than a monohull, either
at speed or at anchor, which will delight the less experienced
yacht guests. In addition, the efficient hull design, coupled
with the Caterpillar engines provides outstanding performance
needing about 30% less thrust than a monohull to deliver
a rapid 22 knot cruising speed, thereby using less fuel
and making the Curvelle 33X9 a far greener superyacht than
her single hull rivals.
Every
luxury has been built into the eye catching design with
the particular attention to detail needed for a fractional
ownership yacht. Each of the 8 owners may have different
layout requirements so the accommodation is as innovative
as it is flexible. Six luxury double, ensuite cabins can
be swiftly changed by the crew to suit the requirements
of the next owner who may require just three large suites.
Every guest space offers superb views through extra large
windows and beautifully designed glass partitions. On deck
the Curvelle 33X9 really excels with plenty of room for
the owner and guests to enjoy their luxury cruising. With
a 9m (nearly 29 feet) beam the yacht offers lounging and
alfresco dining on three deck levels. To board the tender,
a lift takes the guest to water level where the tender is
lowered into its dock area. This is also an ideal facility
for less mobile guests to enjoy the yacht more fully.
The
yacht will be constructed to the very highest standards
in glass fibre composite by this highly respected ISO 9001:2000
certified shipyard. Being located in Caribbean and Mediterranean
cruising waters, the shipyard will ensure that both construction
and equipment are appropriate for use in warm climates and
extended cruising.
Curvelle
has taken the Fractional Ownership concept to the next level,
with a comprehensive usage plan, providing up to 8 owners
the closest experience to complete ownership of the yacht.
Owners will own 100% of the equity in the yacht, while a
management company will handle crew appointments, logistics
and maintenance, leaving just the enjoyment to the owners.
The
first Curvelle 33X9 will be launched in the Spring 2010
ready for the Mediterranean season.
